West Texas Friends' Ride
FWBA invites you to participate in the First Annual ride with FWBA, Steamboat Cycling, Lubbock Cycling, HSU Cycling Coach and our friends.. Y'all get an unforgettable, beautiful, scenic ride on a combination of hilly and flat terrain. Keep warm weather in your thoughts and prayers.
The Basics
We will meet at Bike Town at 9:00 a.m. Saturday and roll out soon after (the shop opens at 9, so we can give folks a chance to run inside as needed.)
Two Routes: 62 mile, 82 mile. We will stay together as a group for the first 40 miles, until the stop at All-Sups in Tuscola. At that point, we can split into 2 groups. One will return to the shop, the other will head south to pick up a few more miles.
All Rides will be No-Drop, pace for the first 40 miles will be around 17-18 mph
(most likely), although we can adjust as needed.
Not Finalized as of December 30th:
1. Hotel reservations: Several DFW riders will staying the night in Abilene (2 hours from Weatherford). Motel and hotel spaces are limited due to a local event. No group reservations are made at this time. Make your own reservation.
2. FWBA would like to meet up with riders for Friday dinner (Perini Ranch Steakhouse?) and Saturday breakfast/after ride meal.
3. If there is interested, some may join a gravel /road ride Friday or Sunday
