Route: The normal route has been revised... The ride starts behind the YMCA (see below), travels north then west to Pecan Park. The park trail deadends at S. Bellaire Dr. Turn North on S. Bellaire Dr. to the Trinity Trails. Distance will vary on the weather and riders attending.---
Basics: See the FWBA webpage for time. Arrive 30 minutes early to prepare for the ride and get updates on the event. Rides vary in distance and speed. We ride from behind the Benbrook Y (ballfeild parking lot). You can usually pick a subgroup that rides like you want to. There is always a slow 16-20 mile ride. Some other riders may go 25 or 30 or 40 miles and ride a little faster.
Start Point: We meet near the restroom that is at the southwest side of the Y. So go past the Y on the west side and you’ll see the restrooms at the south end of the parking lot, near the ball fields and track. No fee to park at Y. But, go around it and park near restroom.
No Fee as the route is temporarily not going through the The Corp of Engineers South Holiday Park
Effective October 29, 2023: (N/A as the route is temporarily revised)
The Lake Benbrook US Army Corps is no longer accepting cash for entering the Park at the south gate. Credit cards are accepted as are passes. They will deny entry to anyone who can't pay by CC or who doesn't have a pass. No exceptions.
