A personal favorite short route. The club is going on several years of hosting this route. The routes all travel clock-wise starting in Venus, go far east to almost Waxahachie, then south arriving the backside of Maypearl, before turning west and then heading home. All routes display landscapes and vistas atypical of the rural country with LITTLE to ZERO traffic due to the little to zero residents. In fact, one of the lesser car traveled routes to be had.
For you 100k obsess-inatos, there is just that a 100k..traveling on some great open stretches, a few mid-level grades, and one giant fun downhill. The two shorter routes of 48 and 38m are predominately flat routes drawn so you can relax and talk with your cycling friends, and yet offers some of the characteristics of the long route. (The 48s also get the giant fun downhill!). The 35 has been modified to 38m to remove a chip seal road.

p.s. Metal graded bridges are on the route (replacing the wooden bridges.) And, one 30 yard gravel section – which is known to be smooth compact surface.
