This year the riders came from the following locations:
1982 was the year that Barbara Hutchinson wrote all of the magazines and
newspapers she could find resulting in reporters and photographers showing
up and covering the ride. Articles appeared in many publications including
American Wheelmen, Southern Living, Ultra and Texas Highways. The attendance
at the event would jump from 350 riders to 850 the following year. The entry
fee this year was $9 for the entire weekend.
